You do not wait for the round to end

On most NMRiH servers, dying means watching the rest of the team until the map is over. Here you come back during the round, in a safe spot near your team. The reason is simple: a survival game stops being fun when you spend twenty minutes looking at someone else's screen. It also means death is not the end of the story and a team can be dragged back from a bad start.

Ammo should not slow you down

The servers run a configuration where you do not run dry on basic weapons. That is not to make the game easy, it is so you do not spend half the map searching lockers. Heavy weapons and special equipment still have to be found and shared out. If you take everything and leave the rest of the team with a hammer, you have technically broken no rule, but nobody will want to play with you.

Map objectives are protected

Items and mechanisms that move the map forward cannot be dumped in water, locked behind a door or otherwise hidden. The server returns them or stops anyone from carrying them away. This exists because of the one kind of player who can ruin an hour for five people at once. If an objective seems to have vanished, wait a moment; it usually comes back on its own.

Teamkilling is not a joke

Shooting your own side in a co-op game against zombies is not a misunderstanding, it is a decision. A stray shot in a panic happens to everyone and nobody gets banned for it. Repeated killing, blocking a door in front of the team or pulling a horde onto your own people are rule breaks with a punishment attached. The difference between the two is obvious from a demo, and a demo is exactly what gets reviewed.

The map vote is yours

The team picks the next map, not the server. You can nominate a specific one, vote to cut the current map short, or just check what is coming up. The rotation is complete, so we are not cycling three favourites forever. If you dislike a map, collecting votes is easier than arguing in chat.

The leaderboard counts play, not payment

Points come from surviving, from helping the team and from what you actually do on the map. Not one of them is for sale. Statistics are counted across all five servers, so it does not matter which one you join. The board refreshes on a fixed interval written under the table, so a good round does not have to wait until morning.

You can report a cheater from inside the game

You do not have to quit, open Discord or find a form. A report can be sent straight from the game and reaches the team together with a record of what happened. If you are unsure whether someone is really cheating, report it anyway. Deciding is not your job, it is ours.

Bans apply across all five servers

A punishment issued on one server applies to the whole network and is public together with its reason. The server also watches for attempts to come back on another account, so evading a ban is wasted effort. Every punishment can be appealed and appeals are genuinely read, not binned. If you are convinced a decision was wrong, write it down with the date and time so it can be checked.

Microphone and chat have limits

The server damps chat spam and abuse of voice commands, so nobody can shout others down by repeating the same line. Muting the microphone or the chat is a separate punishment, not a ban: you keep playing, you just cannot speak. It is usually temporary and usually enough. Music down the microphone and screaming into the keyboard qualify without a warning.

The flag by your name and reserved slots

Your nickname shows the country you are playing from. It is a small thing, but on a European server it helps to know who you are with and makes finding a shared language faster. Some of the slots are held for regulars and staff, so that during a full map someone can still join and deal with a problem.
